BLUSH ......
There are techniques that the experts use to shape and define the face with the use of shading and blush, however in this section we are dealing with basics, and the instructions below will work for every face shape, giving a natural looking, not overdone *blush*. Keep in mind, You want to choose a color that compliments your own skin tone. If you have a natural pink to your skin, choose from a palette of pinks. If your skin had a brown or orangish tone, choose from yellow or orangish tones. Do not choose your blush based on the other colors you have chosen for your face. Blush should be barely visible, and a tone or hue to your skin. If you are made up, and some one says to you, "Isn't that Max Factors Number 33 Blush your wearing??", then it is time to go wash your face. Blush should be minimal and enhance your own skin tone.
APPLYING BLUSH:
1. Find the apple of your cheek by smiling into a mirror. Choose a good blusher brush. Then, pick up some blusher color with the brush and shake off the excess.
2. Brush the cheek color lightly over the apple of the cheek using short, up-and-down vertical strokes moving toward the top of your ear in a teardrop shape with the thinner part at the top and the wider part pointing toward your nose.
3. Blend into your foundation and at the hairline, with one soft horizontal motion on the top of the vertical strokes, without brushing any color onto the hair.
4. If it looks like you have too much blusher. Dust cheeks with powder to tone down the color.
5. If you still feel that you need a little more color on your face, you can add a little blush across your forehead by brushing a very slight coat of cheek color just above the eyebrows.
