MEASUREMENT & SIZING
Women’s clothing is not locked into sizing like men's, as clothing manufacturers have no set standard as to size and measurements. One companies size 10 may be another’s size 12 and sizes and actual measurements also vary from style to style. Measurement of each piece is the ONLY true standard for CORRECT FITMENT. One of the most important things you can do for yourself is to LEARN your own measurements and commit them to memory. The basics measurements are BUST/WAIST/HIP and HEIGHT ..For an absolute perfect fit you may want to consider that your HEAD, NECK and WRISTS are larger than a Genetic Girl's and that your LEGS, TORSO and ARMS are going to be longer as well.. When buying girly lingerie (teddies) the measurement is from under the arm to the seam of the crotch. If buying any kind of jacket or fitted blouse you will need the SHOULDER and SLEEVE measurements.
ABOVE THE BUST: This measurement is the circumference of your body taken above the breasts and under the arms.
BUST: The bust measurement is the circumference of your body taken at its widest point, usually close to the nipple area.
CHEST or BELOW THE BUST: Is the circumference of your body directly below the breasts.
WAIST: The circumference of your body taken above your hips and below the ribcage, usually at its narrowest point.
HIP: The circumference of your body taken across the buttocks at its widest point.
The SHOULDER and SLEEVE measurements can get a bit confusing, as we measure them according to the seam where the sleeve meets the body of the garment, and this seam will vary as to where it falls in the shoulder area.
ACROSS THE SHOULDER: This measurement is the distance between the two seams, taken at the top of the shoulders.
SLEEVE LENGTH: The distance from the seam to the bottom of the sleeve at the cuff.
MENS SLEEVE LENGTH: By adding our sleeve length measurement to 1/2 of our across the shoulder measurement, you can get a very close measurement that can be used for comparison to the standard men's sleeve length.
At Kats Dream Boutique, We try to give all the pertinent information in our ads in regard to sizing and measurement for every item. We try very hard to find clothes that are going to fit the male form, and look great as well !! Most other sellers just label anything big as crossdresser clothing and it is very hard to tell how an item is going to look and fit, as it may be a size 18 outfit photographed on a size 3 mannequin or just hanging on a hanger. We use Veronica and Annie as models because they represent a few size categories, but at times we have things that just won't fit either of them, so we must make do with a mannequin or hanger. We will also occasionally list sale and store items this way because it is just not feasible for Veronica and Annie to wear everything!! (as much as they would like to!!!) Having vital measurements in our ads, and using T-Girl models, help insure a great fit.
IMPORTANT!.. Just because a dress is a size smaller than what you may think your size is does not mean it wont fit and look great on you. You will notice that our items often have no size stated in the title descriptions, but at times we will state a bust or waist measurement instead as a guide (only). The fact that you do not have hips will give you an advantage over genetic women when it comes to wearing smaller sizes and sexier styles. Many items we choose to sell are made of great new stretch fabrics that are very forgiving size-wise, and will adapt and mold to wide ranges of shapes and figures, resulting in outstanding fitment and style.
Veronica is 5' 11" tall and weighs in at roughly 195 pounds. She has worn and looked great in fashions ranging from a size 4 to size 22, as evidenced in the photographs below.
