MIRROR IMAGES ......
Seeing the Real You

I will start this little article with an interesting little story. Several years back, I wanted to get contact lenses, and because I wore bifocal glasses, the doctor gave me a pair of bifocal contacts to try. He explained that they were made up of concentric rings, which alternated in strength, to see near, far, near, far, etc. He told me that I would actually be seeing two images when I wore them, one clear, and one blurry, but my brain would quickly adjust to ignore the blurry image, and only see the clear one, whether I was trying to see far or near. It took a few days, but he was right, and I've worn them ever since. How does this relate to dressing? If you have read our article here on Passing, you can see how this phenomenon of the brain plays an important role in your "Fitting in with the crowd". However it plays a much greater role. When we dress, we have a very detailed image of our ideal feminine image in our minds, and it can really cloud the way that we actually see ourselves. When we take that occasional glance in a mirror, our mind tends to see only those things in our presentation that it wants to, and doesn't actually "see" the real world image that we present. It tends to focus on our "hot buttons", and neglects to see all the other little things that are important to presenting a more convincing feminine image. We only see what we want to see. Studies have shown, that the average time a reader spends per page, while reading a newspaper is about 3 or 4 seconds, but if there is something that catches his eye, then he will spend some time to read that particular piece. It's a well known fact that visual images are a major factor in good advertising, and the field of education has vastly improved by using visuals in teaching techniques. This same "visual" approach can easily be applied to your dressing, and provide you a good way to improve everything about your feminine presentation. A large mirror is a very good aid, but has to be used with the right frame of mind. You must concentrate on your over-all appearance, body movements, and everything else that you are presenting in your feminine image, otherwise, those "hot buttons" will prevent you from seeing the things that need work. Veronica always uses a mirror when modeling for the Ebay photos, as the immediate feedback helps her to see everything about her stance and appearance. Feedback is what you need to refine your image, and there is no better feedback than photography. Digital cameras have opened up a whole new world of instant feedback, and they are an important tool in your arsenal of feminine training weapons. Most of them have timers or features that will allow you to take pictures of yourself, but it's always better if you have someone else doing the photography. By viewing your feminine image in still photography, you can see it in a more detailed manner, and actually view the image that other people would see. You can look at all the details that normally would fly by your brain's ignorance, and experiment in methods that will refine all of your flaws. You will find out many things about yourself, that you would not observe normally.
When most genetic women get all dolled up and look at themselves in a mirror, they always find the faults with their image, even if there are none there. When most T-Girls look into that same mirror, their minds tend to concentrate on specific things that are their own particular "hot buttons", such as their nylons, heels, etc. ....and overlook their flaws. Once you look past that clouded image of yourself, and recognize your areas that need improvement, you can really refine your feminine presentation.
