PAMPERING ...... Taking Your Femininity to a Higher Level
Women have been practicing the ART of pampering themselves for centuries, and it has always been a practice of Aristocratic men. Most of today’s men and women have long forgotten that pampering the mind ,body, and spirit is essential to overall well being. One of the best things you can do to nurture your feminine side, is to pamper and spoil yourself . Even if you spend most of your time in male mode, there are still many things you can do to give your everyday experience a touch of femininity. These little special touches work, and most of them can be incorporated in both of your worlds, making the transitions from persona to persona smoother, as you will be able to maintain a more neutural state of mind.
Skip the shower!!! Take a little time relaxing in a warm bubble bath.. make sure to light the room with scented or aroma therapy candles, put on your favorite easy listening music (or opt for peace & quiet if that is what you prefer)..Let your mind wander.. because while you are dreaming the bath will soak away all your cares plus have the added benefit of softening your skin. Opt for a Silk Bathrobe!!! Even if you cant run around the house in all your frilliest feminine attire you can wear a mans cut silk robe. There is no feeling in the world like the fabulous feel of silk against your naked skin (especially after that wonderful bubble bath!) If you have the luxury of dressing at home make sure to add some lace! Buy a satin Pillowcase!!! Not only will your head swim with beautiful girly dreams but a satin pillowcase pretty much eliminates morning bed head ..so if you want to feel great , wake up refreshed and looking like you just primped in front of a mirror..a satin pillowcase is just what you need. Satin Pillowcases come in a variety of colors to match just about any color scheme. Don’t forget to add a touch of your favorite scent to the underside of your pillow… Sweet Dreams!!
Wear a Fragrance!! Whether you are dressed in your finest silkies or in a wool business suit, there is nothing that is going to perk up your senses and create a mood more than your scent. Find a scent that You love on yourself, one that suits your personality or try different scents for different moods. There are many unisex colognes on the market that would not be out of place anywhere. (My absolute favorite and one of the first unisex colognes on the market, is called *4711* by Muelhens I ADORE this fragrance!) It is a blend of light citrus and sandalwood..YUM!)
Gussy -Up!! It makes no difference if your male persona is the Ultimate Man's Man in a world of denim & flannel. There are so many things you can do to add small touches to your life that will keep you in touch with your feminine side. I know so many dressers who are absolutely fanatical about dressing and caring for their feminine persona and yet when the dresses are put back in the closet they go back to a world void of style and full of raving masculinity. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but if you long for your femininity during those in between times when you cant dress, here are some little suggestions that may help. If your lifestyle calls for the everyday attire of jeans and work shirt, change up a little and invest in a great silk slouchy sweater or fine tailored shirt in a pastel color. These items work well with jeans or Khakis and will just add enough finesse to make you feel great, with a touch of feminity, without going over the top. Add a wonderful designer suit to your wardrobe. Buy one by the feel of it!!! ..buy it for the fabric first, choose a fabric that feels great on your skin and have it tailored. This is a luxury item, but well worth the investment, and I guarantee the occasion will arise when you will be so happy to have it in your closet. If you already wear suits to work, add some small elegant touches like a pocket silk and wonderful tie pin. Leave the Kleenex at home for wiping off excess makeup and get yourself a few good monogrammed handkerchiefs. I make this suggestion for your feminine dress as well.. nothing says Femme Fatale better than a signature hanky!!!
Whether going out for drinks, or staying home watching the game, you can still indulge your femme persona, without "batting an eyelash, so to speak. If you must have a beer, nix the can! Opt for a tall Pilsner or Stange Glass.. they are long and cylindrical and quite feminine without being obvious. If you can do without the beer try going exotic with a great mixed cocktail (Martinis are just so lovely to look at!).
Practice Grace!.. There is so much more to being a woman than just putting on a dress and makeup. You must practice those things you see in women and wish to become.. Don’t envy the woman who glides into a room.. BE HER. Practice makes perfect. Take some time to learn to sit without plopping, learn to take deliberate strides when you walk, use your fingertips to pick up things. Curb bad habits! Society today seems to accept bad manners and crude behavior as normal behavior for males. Let me tell you girls, most women don’t find it attractive in any gender. Belching, passing gas, being excessively loud, and using profanity, have no place in a feminine world, but if you are prone to the freedom of these male expressions and feel that it is your god given right, then you have a little work ahead of you. Femininity starts on the inside and it may take some time to develop new habits, but once perfected, you will slip from trousers to dress much more easily.
Make a list of things you adore in women. No fella!! Forget big jugs, tight butt, great legs etc..Take a deeper look! Make the list and start practicing these things that are attractive to you. After a while they will come more naturally to you and the art of practice is another thread to keep you connected to that inner beauty inside you.
There are plenty of little things you can do for yourself to keep your feminine self thriving. The practice of grace, patience and good manners will not only help you stay in touch with your feminine side but will have beneficial effects in your everyday drab world…and will add a definitive touch to your feminine side as well.
